Gothic literature writing is the gloomy and frightening stories. Mystery, grotesque, supernatural, horror, and violence are what gothic literature is based on. Metonymy of gloom and horror is often found in these types of writing. Problems of evil are shown as a psychological problem and characters have either guilt or pride. In gothic literature, life of nature is demolished or invaded by an indistinct figure.
